A keen observer of life and philosophy, and a student of the planet, Sam Scott spent time during his young adult years living in various eco-systems. His art embodies this love for the earth and conveys both a feeling of abstract expressionism and his self-proclaimed "consciousness of the natural world's beauty and creative energy." With a focus on the earth as living and ever changing, yet as a timeless subject matter, Scott creates abstract paintings in oils and watercolor that are designed, in his eyes, to tell the story of "brave beauty" that is "slowly revealed, gradually understood, and then enduringly felt."
